The story revolves around Santosh Subramaniam (played by Jayaram), a 35-year-old bachelor who is a fashion designer by profession. He hails from a middle-class family and has a close relationship with his grandmother, Ammachi (played by Kanchana). Santosh's life takes a turn when his family decides to get him married.
