Overview Shirzad Sindi (born 1965) is an Iraqi-Kurdish filmmaker and visual artist whose work spans documentary and experimental film, video art, and installations. He is known for exploring memory, displacement, identity, and the material traces of conflict. His practice often blends archival footage, staged scenes, and layered sound to produce contemplative, politically attentive works that resist easy categorization.
